![]() It's handy though, because most times phrases are highly redundant, and if I'm going to be heading to school/work, I need verbal processing ticking into overtime. Not much changed.Ībout the only thing I did to improve, I've coached myself into listening to audio books and podcasts, which is fairly intensive, and requires a ton of processing. ![]() For myself, I thought I'd improved with practice since primary school, but again, I changed my habits to adapt to the situation. ![]() The auditory processing issue is somewhat common, but it can change with age, sic. I'd interrupt as a kid so that important information would stick around, among other insights from the layman summaries of categories, etc. It is a large number of small tests, so the results go into details, but this was kind of enlightened at least, because I had always considered myself to be quite good at understanding others. Especially for my parents, ie that I wasn't ignoring them, I just don't click on larger processing of verbal communication, I will likely remember the last phrase, not the middle. Dreadfully expensive for the time, but it is all specialist psychological testing.Īll in all, it picked up some obvious ADD traits. Some of it is also spatial and audio processing, remembering groups of 5-10 words and numbers, then recalling them backwards, colours, separation of numbers to words, reading left or right, etc. There's just a lot of tests, and it's generally speaking, useless for the short term. At the time, I was unsure of the results or the tests, because some were trivial, some measured reaction times and left/right processing.
